Instructions:

Select sloes and rinse well, put drained in a saucepan and pour so much boiling water over them that they are completely covered. Let stand for one day. Drain the juice, let it boil once and pour it over the sloes again. Repeat all together the next day and the day after. Now pour off the juice and filter it through a muslin cloth. Now make with the sugar and spices until the sugar has dissolved.

Fill hot into clean bottles and seal on the spot.

Our Tip:

Sloe syrup is tart and refreshing. You can pour it with ice-cold soda water or possibly with chilled sparkling wine. It also tastes good with semolina porridge, ice cream or possibly pudding.

Tip: Always use aromatic spices to refine your dishes!
