Figs in Fig Sauce with Feta Cheese and Parma Ham

Rinse the figs carefully, then cut 2/3 of the figs into slices, sprinkle with half of the lime juice and set aside to cool. Coarsely chop the remaining figs and blend with the blender. Blend remaining port, white wine, lime juice, sugar, peeled and finely grated ginger, and lime zest (reserving a tiny bit) into puree; season to taste. Divide the sauce evenly among serving plates, place one sliced fig on each. Cut the feta cheese into cubes and arrange with the Parma ham next to it. Grind black pepper on top and sprinkle lime zest left behind. Serve as an entrée to the table.

Tip: Always use an aromatic ham, it will add a wonderful touch to your dish!
