For the rye burger, coarsely grind the rye and stir into the water. Leave to swell for one night.

The following day, melt the butter and add it to the swollen rye with the spelt flour and the spices and herbs. Mix well and form burgers with a spoon.

Fry out over moderate heat in a frying pan with a tiny bit of olive oil for 5min on each side.

Fill these rye burgers classic with lettuce, tomato slices, meat loaf and sauce!
