Mustard Creamed Savoy Cabbage with Meat Loaf

1. clean cabbage, rinse, quarter and remove the hard stalk. Cut savoy cabbage quarters into strips. Peel, rinse and cut carrots. Peel and dice onion.

Heat oil in a large ovenproof frying pan. Cut meat loaf in half and brown about 1 minute on each side. Remove.

Heat fat in frying pan. Sauté onion and carrots in it for about 5 minutes until soft. Add cabbage and sauté for about 5 minutes, turning. Season with caraway seeds, salt and pepper. Extinguish with 200 ml water. Cook for 2-3 min. at high temperature.

4. spread the meatloaf evenly on the cabbage. Stir mustard and sour cream or crème fraiche until smooth and pour over it. Bake in heated kitchen oven (electric oven: 225 °C / convection oven: 200 °C / gas: level 4) for 5-10 min. until golden brown. Rinse and chop the parsley and sprinkle over the top. Serve with brown bread or boiled potatoes.
