For the pretzel dumplings, put the dumpling bread in a high bowl, pour warm milk and add the whole eggs to the mixture. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, peel and chop the onion. Fry them in a little butter until golden. Finally, add a little parsley to the roasted onion and fry briefly.

Add everything to the dumpling bread mixture and mix. Season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Form dumplings with wet hands and put them into the bowl of the steamer.

Pour 400 ml of water into the water container and steam with lid in the microwave at 750 watts/23 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, let dumplings rest for about 15 minutes before opening the steamer.
