For the Tyrolean bacon dumplings, put the dumpling bread, eggs and lukewarm milk in a high bowl and let rest for about 20 minutes.

In the meantime, finely chop the onion and, if necessary, dice the bacon. Sauté the onion and bacon briefly in a pan and add to the dumpling mixture.

Season with pepper, parsley and salt (be careful with salt, because the bacon makes the mass very salty). Knead everything well together and form dumplings with wet hands and put them in the bowl of the steamer.

Add 400 ml of water to the water container and cook in the microwave with the lid on at 650 watts/23 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, let rest in the steamer for another 15 minutes.
