Beat the sugar, egg yolks, vanilla sugar, oil and water until creamy. Fold in the flour mixed with baking powder.

Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them in as well. Stir 1/4 of the batter with the cocoa.

Pour 2 tablespoons light batter and 1 tablespoon dark batter into a greased cake springform pan. Repeat until all the batter is used. The dough will then run from the center of the pan to the outside, creating the zebra pattern.

Bake at 175 °C for about one hour.
