For the chocolate nut cake, heat the milk, add the chocolate and dissolve in the warm milk. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks until fluffy.

Mix nuts, flour and baking powder, stir this flour mixture alternately with the cooled chocolate milk into the butter mixture, carefully fold in beaten egg whites.

Grease the cake pan with butter and sprinkle with flour, fill in the mixture. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 °C for about 45 minutes.

Remove from the mold when slightly overcooled.
