For the mixed vegetables, peel carrots and cut into small cubes. Cook carrot cubes with 2 tablespoons of water for 5 minutes with the lid closed, then add corn kernels and peas, season with salt and sugar.

Add butter and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Taste the mixed vegetables again and season if necessary.
