Wash and sort the raspberries.

Pour into a large screw-top jar with the sugar. Shake the jar vigorously until everything is well mixed. Then pour in enough raspberry brandy to cover the berry-sugar mixture.

Place the jar in a warm but shady place for 5-6 weeks, shaking it properly every day.

Strain the finished liqueur and pour into decorative bottles.
