Try this delicious cake recipe:

Cream the butter, add the grated lemon skin and alternately stir in the sugar, eggs and the mixture of cornstarch, baking powder and flour. Pour the dough into a cake springform pan (260 mm ø) greased only at the bottom, spread the plums on top and pre-bake the cake at 180-200 degrees for about 30 minutes.

In the meantime, whip the egg whites and cold tap water until very stiff. Beat in vanilla sugar and sugar briefly. Fold in the egg yolks. Combine the flour and cornstarch, mix gently and fold in the almond kernels carefully. Pour the glaze onto the pre-baked cake and bake everything together for another 45 minutes. Dust the cooled cake with fine sugar. If desired, place a few sliced plums in the center. Serve with whipped cream on the table.
