A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Cut rhubarb into 2 cm pieces. Spread springform pan base with parchment paper, grease, place rhubarb pieces on top, sweeten with sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat light butter until creamy, add sugar, pith or vanilla sugar, juice of one lemon and eggs. Sift flour and baking powder and fold in by tablespoonfuls, spread on top of the rhubarb mold.

Preheat the oven to 160 °C and bake the cake for 40 to 50 minutes. Turn the cake out onto a broiler and cool.

Mix water, sugar, cake glaze, syrup in a saucepan and let it bubble up.

Place the cake ring around the cake once more and spread the glaze over it.
