For the pasta salad, cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Grate the zucchini, peel and slice the cucumber. Cut tomatoes into eighths, dice Edam and quarter the eggs.

Since everyone wants something different at our house, I start with the dressing. Oil, vinegar, salt, herbs, sugar and so much water to soften the vinegar a bit in the shaker and shake the whole thing vigorously (instead of shaker also works empty bottle of barbecue sauces).

Put the noodles per portion in a bowl, then add the cucumber, zucchini, edamame and dressing to taste, mix well. Finally, scatter the tomatoes and eggs on top.

For the remaining portions, add either vegetables, tuna or crackers. So you have different types of pasta salad for every taste.
