For the almond cake, first line a baking tray with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Beat sugar, vanilla sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one by one.

Sift flour with baking powder and baking soda and mix with salt. Add to the butter mixture.

Spread on the baking sheet and sprinkle the flaked almonds on top. Put the almond cake in the oven for about half an hour.
