Instructions:

Cut the rolls into small slices and pour a quarter of a liter of hot milk over them. Sauté onion and bacon cubes in a frying pan with clarified butter, stir in parsley and add to the bread slices form. Mix everything together well with minced meat and egg and season with pepper, garlic, salt and paprika.

Blanch the savoy cabbage leaves briefly in boiling hot salted water, remove, drain, fill with the minced meat mixture and form small rolls.

Layer the stuffed cabbage rolls tightly in an ovenproof dish and pour gravy and red wine over them. Season with salt and pepper, add the cheese and cook in a 200 °C oven for about half an hour.

In the meantime, peel the potatoes, soften them in salted water and press them. Heat the remaining milk and mix it with the butter into the potatoes. Season the puree with salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg.

Serve the cabbage rolls with the mashed potatoes.

Our tip: Use a deliciously spicy bacon for a delicious touch!
