Braised Cucumbers From the Steamer

For the braised cucumbers, dice the onions and steam them with the bacon in an unperforated steamer basket, covered (at 100°C for 4 minutes or at 120°C for 2 minutes).

Peel the cucumbers, cut them in half and remove the seeds with a spoon. Cut into thin slices and add to bacon onions with sour cream.

Season with dill, sugar, salt and pepper and cook (at 100°C for 15-20 minutes). After cooking, season again with pepper and salt.

Boiled potatoes taste good with the braised cucumbers.
