Instructions:

Steaming is, next to stewing, the most gentle cooking method: In a basket, the dish is cooked over boiling hot water in hot steam. Steaming baskets for pots are available in household stores (4 to 8 Marks).

Rinse the carrots, cut the root ends into small pieces, peel the carrots and grate them finely on a grater. Pour hot water over the toast, soak briefly and then squeeze out the liquid. Knead the crumb with the egg, curd, 1 tablespoon of oat flakes and the soy sauce. Fold this amount into the carrot rub. If it is too thin, add a little more oatmeal. Turn about 12 dumplings with wet hands. Brush the steamer insert thinly with oil, spread the dumplings evenly in it, and drizzle with the remaining oil. In a suitably sized saucepan, fill with enough water so that it does not reach the insert. Bring to the boil, place the insert inside and close the lid. Steam for 30 minutes. For the sauce, heat the milk with the whipped cream and the chopped herbs. Fill the dumplings on the plate.

Add thick tomato sauce: Your child can then dip!

Our tip: It is best to use fresh herbs for a particularly good flavor!
