For the mayonnaise eggs, peel the eggs and cut them in half. Separate the yolks from the eggs and put them in a bowl. Add mayonnaise and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.

Cut the cucumbers into small slices. Place 1 – 2 slices of cucumber in each of the egg yolk bulges and fill with the mayonnaise mixture. Garnish with gherkins.
