Apple Crunch

Instructions:

Remove skin from apples, cut into quarters, remove core and cut into coarse pieces (2-3 cm edge length). Yields about 1 kg of apple pieces. Steam al dente with a small amount of water (shot glass). Cool down.

Make crumble by kneading butter, sugar, flour, almond kernels (200 gr minus 2 tbsp), whipped cream. 2-3 cm edge length. Butter a baking pan (30 x 23 cm). Cover the bottom of the baking dish with half of the crumble. Pre-bake (200 degrees, 20 min). Pour the cooled apple pieces with juice (3 glassfuls) on top. Cover with the remaining crumble. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp. sliced almonds.

Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown.

Note: The apples can be acidified with a tiny bit (a woman has such a feeling) of juice from a lemon, if needed. Or sweeten with 1 tbsp honey (also in the feeling). Ditto apples maybe mixed with 2 tbsp apricot jam.

Own idea: omit honey. Apples with a shot of Calvados (a man has something like that in the feeling) make.
