For the apple pie with crumble, line the tart pan with Kronenöl Spezial with fine butter flavor.Sift the flour, warm the milk slightly and mix with the yeast. Stir vanilla sugar, grated lemon zest and egg with the milk mixture until smooth and pour in flour.

Add salt, Kronenöl Spezial with fine butter flavor and knead with a wooden spoon (or a stand mixer) to a smooth dough. Let dough rest covered at room temperature for about 30 minutes until doubled. Preheat oven to 160 °C (top and bottom heat).For the apple pie with crumble, cut the butter into small pieces. Knead flour, granulated sugar, salt, vanilla sugar and Kronenöl Spezial with fine butter flavor with your hands to make crumbles and chill.Roll out dough on a lightly floured work surface approx. 3 mm, line the pan with it, press down lightly and prick with a fork.For the filling, peel apples, remove core, cut in half and cut into approx. 3 mm thin slices. Gently mix the apple slices, granulated sugar, lemon juice, rum and cinnamon together and layer the pastry.

Sprinkle densely with crumble and bake the apple pie with crumble in the oven on the middle shelf for about 25 minutes.
