Instructions:

For apple-almond cake, first preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a baking pan with butter and sprinkle with flour.

For the apple topping, peel and core the apples. Cut into thin slices and marinate with lemon juice. Mix sugar with cinnamon.

For the pastry, cream butter with vanilla and cinnamon until fluffy. Gradually add sugar and beat in. Beat in eggs one at a time and mix until combined. Mix flour with almonds and baking powder. Stir the flour-almond mixture into the butter mixture alternately with the milk.

Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out. Cover all around with apple slices, then sprinkle with flaked almonds and cinnamon sugar. Bake in hot oven for 40-50 minutes. (Test with chopsticks and cover with aluminum foil halfway through baking time, if necessary).

Allow apple-almond cake to cool and serve.
