For surf and turf, first preheat the oven to 160 °C.

Salt and pepper the steaks. Heat oil and butter in a pan and sear the steaks briefly on both sides. Wrap the steaks in aluminum foil and let them cook in the preheated oven for another 8-10 minutes (depending on the desired degree of cooking).

Meanwhile, deglaze the roasting residue in the pan with balsamic vinegar, beef broth and port wine. Add the uncut green onions and simmer without a lid for about 5-8 minutes over medium heat. After about 2-3 minutes, add the pea pods with the mushrooms. Add more soup if needed. Season to taste with Worcestershire or soy sauce and salt and pepper.

Meanwhile, cook the shrimp in boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes until done. Take them out of the shell, remove the intestines and briefly pull them through the sauce. Place steaks on well warmed plates and place 2 shrimp on each. Arrange vegetables on top and pour surf and turf with the thickened sauce.
