For the sponge mixture, cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, later fold in the flour, milk and baking powder.

Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in the oven at 175°C for about 1 hour.

After baking, let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
