For the children’s cheese sandwiches, carefully cut the boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Cut the carrot into wheels of the same size. Cut the frankfurter into wheels. Carefully divide the olives into rings and cut them in half. Cut crescents (mouths) from slices of the cucumber.
Cut the bread slices into squares, spread with butter or spread. Top each with 1 slice of cheese.
For the mouse sandwiches, place 1/2 egg, cut side down, on each bread. Make ears out of carrot slices into egg. Cut thin strips from extra sausage (tails) and tuck under egg. Make eyes with capers or tuck in tiny pieces of cucumber.
For the ladybugs, place extra sausage from which a pointed wedge has been cut, use halved olive rings to indicate legs and Frankfurter slices to make dots. For the head put half an olive.
For the smileys, put slices of extra sausage, put the cucumber mouths on top and for the eyes, put slices of carrot on the children’s cheese sandwiches, with capers as pupils.
