Instructions:

1. make a thick puree from the apples and cool ( maybe good quality apple puree from a jar).

2. grate the brown bread, sprinkle on a baking sheet and brown in the heated kitchen stove at 180 degrees, stirring often. When cooled, mix with sugar, cinnamon and rum.

Grease a small baking pan (1.5 liters) with butter (light butter) and fill it with breadcrumbs, raisins and apple puree in layers. The bottom and top layers should be crumbs. Top the last layer with the butter flakes.

Bake in a heated oven at 180 °C (lowest rack) for 20 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar and bring to the table with vanilla sauce.
