Peel and dice sweet potatoes and cook in perforated steamer basket for 20 minutes.

Grate ginger into the coconut milk, drizzle in lemon juice, add nutmeg and chili flakes and bring to a boil while stirring.

Pour over the fully cooked sweet potato cubes and mash everything into a homogeneous mass.

Season the sweet potato and coconut puree with salt and pepper.
