Try this delicious cake recipe:
(*) For a baking tray of 24-26 cm ø.
Toast almond kernels in a frying pan, cool, then chop in a cutter or grind finely with a hand mill. Knead butter, almond kernels, sugar and flour until a smooth dough is formed. Leave to cool for 30 minutes.
Spread just under 1 cm thick on two baking sheets lined with tin clean paper. Bake in a hot oven at 180 °C for about 15 minutes until light brown. Cool.
For the filling, put all the ingredients in a frying pan and bring to the boil, stirring. Remove from heat, stirring to cool.
Spread the cream on one cake round and cover with the second.
