Heat canned peas with vegetable soup and chopped potatoes and cook for 20 minutes. Blend in a hand mixer or with a hand blender.

In the meantime, sauté the onion and garlic in butter, add the sliced tomatoes and the peas and cook for about 8 minutes. Cut the sausages into slices and heat them in it.

Add to the pureed soup, fold in the crème fraîche and cream cheese and let the whole thing bubble up again.

Serve sprinkled with fresh herbs.

Serve with baguette and tomato salad.

The “basic soup” can be varied in any way, e.g. with rendered cubes of smoked bacon, with minced meatballs, with finely chopped, briefly roasted greens. .

Our tip: Use a bacon with a strong flavor – this will give this dish a special touch!
