An exceptionally tasty potato dish, which can also be seasoned with thyme or marjoram, as desired.

1) Remove the skin from the onions and cut them into rings.

Remove the skin from the garlic clove and crush it finely.

Melt fat, sauté onion rings until translucent, stir in garlic.

2) Remove peel from potatoes, rinse, cut into fine slices.

Layer potatoes and onions alternately in a greased ovenproof dish.


Season each layer with salt, pepper, nutmeg and thyme and sprinkle with parsley.

Bake for 40 minutes in the heated oven.

3) Pour whipped cream over casserole and sprinkle with paprika.

Bake for another 20 minutes.


Prepare: half an hour Stew: 5 min Bake: 60 min.
