Collect walnuts when they are still green about mid to late June. Wash, quarter and place in alcohol in a large jar.

Add all the spices and leave in the sun for about 6 weeks. Strain through a cloth.

Boil the sugar with 250 ml of water until it is completely dissolved.

Cool (lukewarm) while stirring and mix with the nut spirit.
