For the lemon cake, cream butter, lemon zest, sugar, eggs and milk. Mix flour, starch and baking powder and gradually stir in.

Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C for about 45 minutes and let cool.

Boil lemon juice, sugar and water, add arrack, soak the cake with it.
