Cook pasta according to package directions, rinse and layer alternately with ham in a well-greased gratin dish.

Heat butter, sweat flour in it, add milk while stirring, let it boil up and season well with salt and nutmeg. Pour over the pasta and ham mixture.

Sprinkle with cheese and breadcrumbs and bake for about 30 minutes.
