Preparation : 30 min.

1) Cut the melon flesh into thin slices and the oranges into small pieces. Remove the seeds. Cut cleaned peppers into strips. Rinse currants and raisins and dry well.

2) Soften melon slices and orange pieces with 500 g sugar, stirring continuously. Add salt, raisins, currants as well as the spices. Cook all ingredients until the chutney becomes mushy.

3) Bring vinegar to a boil with the remaining sugar, stir into the chutney and simmer on low heat for 15 min.

4) Fill chutney into jam jars and seal airtight with foil. (Simple twist-off jars or small jars can be used as well.
