For the cabbage fritters with bacon, first cut the cabbage into strips and bacon and onion into fine cubes.

Heat oil, sauté bacon and onion in it. Add sugar, caramelize briefly, deglaze with vinegar and clear soup. Add cabbage, season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds and steam for 40 to 50 minutes until soft.
