For the two-color warm cabbage salad, shave cabbage head (without stalk!) and simmer the shaved cabbage with salt, pepper and caraway seeds until soft, about 45 minutes. Drain.

Defrost the red cabbage. Dice the onion and bacon and fry slowly, then stir in the sugar and let it get very light brown. Quickly deglaze with 100 ml vinegar. Drain the cabbage and fold in, season to taste.

Wash and grate apple, mix with red cabbage and port wine, season with salt and pepper if necessary and heat. Arrange both kinds on a plate. Serve the two-colored warm slaw.
