Form a small hollow in the middle of the sifted flour and put the yeast toast with lukewarm milk and leave for 10 minutes.
Then add the eggs, sugar and a little salt and knead into a dough. Gradually add a little lukewarm milk and knead until the dough is smooth.
Let the dough rise repeatedly for 10 minutes. Form small dumplings and press them into a hot frying pan. Bake on both sides until golden brown. Serve warm with boiled fruit, e.g. apple puree. They taste especially good with vanilla sauce.
