Cream heavy cream cheese with vanilla sugar and salt. Whip the cream with sugar until stiff. Fold into the cheese mixture. Drain the pears. Pour some of the cheese mixture into a large enough bowl and spread the pears and cherries evenly over it. Pour the rest of the cheese mixture on top. Garnish with pears, cherries and toasted flaked almonds. Bring to the table well chilled.

P.S.: maybe you should cut the pears, which are not used for garnishing, a little bit small, then it is easier to spread the cream evenly. **
