For the nut mounds, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until firm.

Beat the butter until fluffy, add the sugar and vanilla sugar and continue beating. Gradually stir in the egg yolks.

Sift together the flour and baking powder, then gradually add the milk and flour in small amounts.

Finally, mix in the hazelnuts.

Fill the dough mixture into a piping bag with a large nozzle opening and pipe small heaps onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place one hazelnut on each mound.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 18-20 minutes.
