Fillet the herrings and drain them in a little milk. Cut the raw potatoes into slices and the onions into cubes. Cut the pork into small slices.

In a greased casserole dish put a layer of potatoes at the beginning, then fish, then meat with onions and crushed new spices. Add a little salt if necessary. Put the other layers in the same order. The last layer must be potatoes. Pour milk mixed with water and eggs, add butter flakes. Cook at 220 degrees for about an hour and serve with pickled beet.
