Instructions:

Beat the egg whites with salt, sugar and vanilla until stiff, then add the yolks. Sift in the flour, pudding powder and baking powder and fold in. Spread the dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes at 200 degrees (gas: level 3-4) on the middle shelf. Then turn out the dough onto a large board, remove the paper and cool.

Make a pudding with milk, pudding powder sugar and cocoa and cool, stirring frequently. In the meantime, cream butter with sugar* and add rum flavoring. Stir the cooled pudding into the butter-sugar mixture by the tablespoonful. Cut the biscuit base lengthwise into 4 cm wide strips. Set aside 4 tablespoons of buttercream for garnish and use the rest to spread on the biscuit strips. Roll up the first strip into a snail shape and place in the center of a cake plate. Arrange the following strips to form a spiral cake. Spread the remaining cream on the cake, make grooves with a fork and dust with a little cocoa.

Tip: Do you prefer milk chocolate or dark chocolate? Depending, use whichever you like better.
