Dice the bread (1 cm) and mix with milk, egg and salt.

Leave to stand for a while, stirring a few times in between. Peel the onion, chop finely and fry in butter until golden brown.

Wash and chop the parsley. Add onion and parsley to bread mixture, then lightly mix in flour.

Moisten hands, form dumplings from the dough and press firmly.

Bring water to a boil in a pot and add salt.

Boil the bread dumplings for 15 minutes, then serve as a side dish as desired.
