Sour Cherries with Limes

Cut about half of the sour cherries in half, mush the rest. Peel the limes thinly and cut the peels into tender strips.

Squeeze out the juice.

Put the fruit mixture in a tall glass bowl, mix with special preserving sugar and cover. Heat in the microwave for 6 min covered at 180 watts, then stir well once, cover repeatedly and cook for another 7 min at 600 watts. Immediately fill into jars and close with twist-off lids.
