For the Schilcher punch, rinse the oranges with hot water and rub dry. Cut into slices. Cut the apple in half, remove the core and cut the apple halves into pieces. Cut the dates into pieces as well.

Put the Schilcher in a pot and add orange slices, apple and date pieces, cloves, cardamom and star anise. Heat and let steep for 15 minutes, do not boil!

Finally, pour in the Schilcher brandy and sweeten to taste. Empty the Schilcher punch into fireproof glasses and serve hot.
