Mix everything together depending on the sauce.

Homemade fondue sauces can hardly be replaced by commercial ones. Six of the following recipes have as their base a sauce made of equal parts of curd, mayo (just laugh, that’s new German spelling) and milk. With some practice, they can be ready in less than half an hour. The sauces can be made in advance and kept in screw-top jars or tupperware in the refrigerator until the evening.

Our tip: If you like to cook with fresh herbs, it’s best to get kitchen herbs in pots – that way you’ll always have everything on hand!
