For the pizza buns, first prepare the dough.
For the dough, knead flour, water, yeast, oil, sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. garlic powder into a smooth dough and let it rise covered in a warm place for 90 minutes.
Season tomato sauce with oregano, garlic powder and salt. Roll out the pizza dough into two thin 40 x 40 cm squares.
Spread with the tomato sauce and sprinkle with the cheese and ham, if desired. Cut the dough in half and form both parts into a roll.
Cut the rolls into slices about 1-2 cm thick and place them on a baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees/ hot air and bake the pizza rolls for 15 minutes.
