Original text:

Take three kinds of meat from pork, beef and veal, plus potatoes, yellow beets, parsley, onion and porridge.

Cut small pieces of it, put everything together in a castor, salt and pepper together with all kinds of spices – steam gently, add a little broth.

When it is cooked, this results in a strong and delicious tasting dish.

In plain language:

The meat is cut into small cubes (about 2-3 cm). Onions are peeled, halved and cut into slices. Remove the peel from the potatoes, yellow turnips and parsley roots and rinse them. Cut the potatoes into cubes (about the same size as the meat) and the yellow beets and parsley roots into slices. The leek is cleaned, washed and cut into rings.

Now a large cooking pot is filled alternately with a layer of meat and a layer of vegetables. But please make sure that the last layer is made of vegetables.

Between each layer a little bit of salt, pepper, crushed marjoram and caraway form.

All together now pour the clear soup (but can be water), bring to a boil and cook with the lid closed at low to moderate temperature. Do not stir under any circumstances.

Make sure that there is always enough liquid in the pot.

When the meat is tender, place it in a large baking dish, sprinkle with chopped parsley and cook on the spot.
