Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage and remove the stalk. Cut the cabbage into eighths, about 2 cm wide strips, rinse and drain well.
Cut the bacon into cubes. Heat the butter and fry the bacon cubes in it a little bit. Add savoy cabbage strips and stir until lightly browned. Peel and dice the onions, add to the vegetables and brown. Clean the mushrooms, rinse, cut into slices, add to the cabbage form and braise briefly. Season with salt, pepper and Italian herbs.
Add hot water, steam the vegetables in the closed pot for 15 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
