For the baptism cake, first prepare the dough.

For the dough, cream the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar, gradually beat in the egg yolks.

Beat the egg whites until stiff, heat the milk and dissolve the chocolate in it. Fold the grated nuts, flour and baking powder into the batter and stir in the cooled chocolate milk.

Finally, fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture. Pour the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C (convection oven) for about 50 – 60 minutes.

Spread a thin layer of apricot jam on the cooled cake. Knead the marzipan well and color it with the food coloring, roll out about 2-3 mm thin and cover the cake with the marzipan.

Label with icing and decorate the christening cake with the decorative figures as desired.
