For the baked banana casserole, first preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a baking dish with butter. Grate the cheese.

Peel the bananas and cut them into diagonal slices. Layer them in the casserole dish.

For the bechamel sauce, heat the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and stir well. Pour in the milk, bring to the boil and stir until a thick sauce is formed. Season to taste with the spices.

Empty the bechamel sauce over the banana layers so that it flows through to the bottom. Sprinkle the cheese on top.

Put the banana casserole in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
