For the corn juice of fir wiperfln pick off the fresh, beautifully bright green shoots of fir trees and wash them carefully. Add water and bring to a boil together with the wiperfln. Boil the fir tree shoots for some time until soft.
Then strain the liquid through a soft cloth, letting the fir-tip juice run into a container.
Bring sugar and water to a boil and boil down until you can do the thread test. Boil the wipferl juice together with the sugar again.
Pour into sterile containers and store in a cool place.
Corn juice from fir tree sap makes a wonderful syrup for punch bowls or mixed with water makes a delicious refreshing drink. Pure or stirred into a tea, it is a well-known remedy for the relief of colds.
